The Wood Processing Operations

WPI has one Sawmill:

  • WPI Timber (Tangiwai Sawmill) is located near Ohakune in the centre of the North Island

The solid wood processing operation has been upgraded to produce a variety of products, cut from various log types. The sawmill has a capacity in excess of 100,000 m3 of sawn timber output per annum.

What Timber Products Are Available?

We offer a range of products using Ernslaw One Ltd FSC certified plantation forest Radiata pine, and from other external log suppliers.

The timber can be rough sawn or gauged (S4S/S2S) to meet customer requirements.

Every piece of timber is carefully graded to ensure total product reliability and consistency.

The timber products are suitable for:

  • Remanufacturing
  • Packaging

What Wood Types are Available?

FSC Mixed (credit system) certified processed wood products are available in Radiata pine wood species.
